Title: Celtic and Bronze age today
Post by: avalon on March 12, 2011, 07:03:47 PM
Had a good day today on one of my Celtic fields. First find was the cutting edge of a Bronze age axe head which was lying on the surface, shame the rest was missing. Followed shortly by a early Celtic brooch with a nice catch plate,  and a decorated knife terminal of the same age.

Nice finds Steve, well done.
Saw two staters come out today at the Hook rally. Your left to gaze in awe at these magical coins, special!

A good day indeed Steve - well done!

I particularly like the brooch - as you say it does have an intricate catch plate. Lovely finds

Neil

A fine selection of finds, the brooch would be unusual to find where I live. In fact, it's just tragic that the Silures did not mint coins! Typical  ;)
