Title: Re: Anybody know what this is? Post by: jtalbot0001 on March 22, 2011, 07:52:28 PM It's 6cm in diameter, so quite big. I am guessing the decoration on the left and right hand side is a Rams head? The centre is dark from enameling I am sure, and as for the top centre decoration, have no idea what that is meant to represent.

Post by: Metalmickey on March 22, 2011, 08:00:50 PM This is only a generalization but looking carefully & after careful scrutiny of the picture, i can confirm that without a shadow of doubt & uncertainty it is definately most probably possibly a "Binit" ............. maybe ! ::)

Looks like a ladybird between two rams heads. Eric Title: Re: Anybody know what this is? Post by: rjm on March 22, 2011, 11:15:11 PM I tend to agree with Eric that it's likely to be a horse brass.
Would have been mounted on a leather strap and fallen off. Title: Re: Anybody know what this is? Post by: legio11augustus on March 23, 2011, 04:37:19 PM looks to me like it could be off a sideboard or such like ,and glued to the wood
