Title: Medieval Sef Weekend
Post by: staterchaser on May 03, 2011, 09:33:59 PM
Attached are Some medieval finds I had this weekend just gone. I was detecting on pasture with my Explorer II, and wasnt getting much luck with my 12' sef. I changed to the 18' and came across most of my finds of the weekend between 8 and 14 inches down. Had lots of other stuff including a few Charles 1st coins, so well please. These are a few images including a buckle, crotal bell, open top thimble and a cut half. Well worth an aching arm :)

Some great finds there Ceri - I like the way you've displayed them as well.

Looks like a productive site.

Cheers
Neil

Thanks for the comments. :), and Rich if I was to use that coil all the time I'd have a right arm like a cows leg. I only use it on pasture which hasnt been ploughed. Back to the 12' on Sunday :)
