My mate Pagey found this coin sunday we cant find it in the books looks Celtic :-\ :-\

I will tell you what it is but first you've got to tell me where you found it lol, It'ssssssssssssssssssssssssssss................SAXON 7th-8th century sceat and a beauty.

Chef or Peter will I am sure pin it down but I think it is a Sceatta and is from the six to nine hundreds AD for a rough period but I thought these were found on the other side of the country I thought. Still very nice

The Spink numbering of these has changed, and this is now 790 rather than 786.

A great find and very rare for Wales - not seen sight nor sound of a sceat in Gods Own Land. Any one found one ever in Wales?

AHHHH! but he didn't say it was found in Wales ummmm. There is only one recorded with PAS and that was from Powys.
