Title: SCRAP COLLECTING ATRALLIES --- AN UPDATE
Post by: Mike on August 12, 2011, 02:51:06 PM
firstly thanks to tafflaff (rob) and all who are prepared to help on this idea .

i spoke to the scrap merchant today who i deal with on a regular basis with our work scrap , he was very interested in what we intend to do and will buy all our copper/brass/lead waste at a price equal to what HE SELLS IT FOR .

in other words he will buy it from us at a top rate and donate the profits he would have made to us so we get much more for it .

the charity i have chosen is  THE MACMILLAN NURSES , a charity very close to my heart as they looked after my late wife and were superb .

so on the rally i will supply a bucket which will be placed in a suitable place for you all to drop your dross into , also if you have any at home or lurking in the boot of the car :D :D as jon said bring it along and add it to the bucket , i will then periodically weigh it in .

cheers everyone MIKETHEFOB

I take all my waste that I find, home with me, as I'm field trained......

I didn't know I needed a waste carriage licence.  :'(

It only applies to business's groups , and people that remove other peoples waste products. Removing your own waste products exempts you Bob , though technically it is someone elses waste, its the farmers. ;D
