Title: Mansion House

Just returned form a visit to a mansion house, National Trust. It transpired the house was bought from the owners in 1539 for £783, the equivalent of £3.7 million today. One of the subsequent owners, purchased it with wealth accumulated from.....

Clipping and debasing coins !

There you have it !!!

Nice one Nick, so what was their name (the clipper) , just wondering if they are still a wealthy family!

YES THEY STILL SELL  MILLIONS OF  clipper  LIGHTERS  PER YEAR  RETAIL AT  99P CACH   YOU DO THE MATHS   LOL

Can't remember the name of the person concerned but he seemed to have made a packet. So every time you see a clipped coin, it could be one of his !
