Title: Metal Detecting and the family
Post by: waltonbasinman on April 13, 2009, 08:38:18 AM
Well with Easter it is usually a sign of drawn out nights a few hours detecting in the warm summer evenings. Pint on the way home all is right with the world. NOT HERE. To Quote the Missus last night "Paul now the weather is better i have a few DIY jobs i would like you to do", with which she proceeds to read a list of jobs where after i heard the tenth job i lapsed into a coma. When i came out she had not finished the list. Such is life.

Charles, I love her and the kids to death. But seriously she will line up a dozen jobs without thinking. Get the materials and when i see the paint or timber in the garage i know what is coming. I had planed on detecting today for about two weeks but on Saturday she happened to mention that she was working. So i just agree and don,t even mention it.

Paul you might as well just go with the flow mate.
If you use the ole "I wear the trouser" line you will come of worst, women know of so many ways to inflict pain and misery they put the Japanese during ww2 to shame lol

Fight the Power !  ;D

Regards
Phil

Best option is to agree with them Paul, regardless of what you had planned, you will never be in the right. You try to put your plans across and you end up with a grizzly bear with attitude all day regardless of how many times you try to apologise after....... ;D ::)
They are a strange species, I've been married to one for almost 33 years and I still don't understand them  ;D ;D ;D

My Mrs went shopping yesterday and when she came home she said "there's a present in the van for you" I went to the van all excited and in the back was 8 x 5l cans of wood preservative to paint the fence. :(

And, love her little cotton socks, she also bought a battery operated spray gun to do the job, she's not so bad really.lol

Richy.
