Title: New Permission First Finds Roman coin?

Hi Guys
Just been out today on my new permission for the first time 25 fields over 400 acres :). so I thought Id google a bit of it and give it a try today on one of them. Heres The cream of the crop so far, Im sure there's a roman coin too ;D

Well done Ferret, an encouraging start to your new land. Yes I would say that was a 3rdC Roman grot and where you find one there are usually more lurking ;)

Hi mate you never cease to amaze me on how you can tell. Yeps looking good atm I found it in the same feild as that nice buckle

Well without the handle you can't tell as that's the tail, but I would probably say no and mark it down as just a pewter spoon from the 18th-19thC.
