Title: cs4pi + cs3mxi whats best?

 HI ALL! .Im a new to metal detecting and thinking about getting a cs4pi or a cs3mxi.Only got a cheapy md3006 found £1.03p and some bits of metal but i got the bug now and want an upgrade. I'll be doing beach and inland detecting as allready got permission from local farmer but i need help in which one to pick. ??? any help on these two would be great thanks Dan

The CS4pi is as the name suggests a pi machine so if you have any intention of doing inland detecting then this is not the machine to go for. Unfortunately, likewise if you want to detect on wet sand then that also rules out the CS3. Both, yes,, as they are uniquely suited to different environments.
If you want to do both and have a fixed budget, then my advice would be to take a look on ebay or the like for a Minelab Sovereign (any model), An XS-2a PRO sold on ebay last week for £200. These machines are still about the best money can buy for a VLF machine on the beach and pasture.

Ok thanks Chef Geoff for the advise and it looks like ill have to change my options and try to and find a nice second hand minelab.ill start reading up about  vlf detectors and see where i go thanks again Dan
