Title: Debbie's Caesar Post by: The Doc on April 29, 2009, 10:19:50 PM After the disappointing Scan Club rally last week, a few of us went on elsewhere. Debbie, who hasn't had the best of detecting luck lately, made the best find of the day with this denarius of Julius Caesar, from 49 BC. The obverse is an elephant, but the coin is poorly struck and all you can see are its legs. At least the inscription is clear.

Here's hoping the next one (can't beat a little positive thinking :o) will be whole and in mint condition ;D ;D
