Title: How do you replace an Explorer handgrip? Post by: Neil on July 07, 2012, 01:29:05 PM I am giving my Explorer II a bit of a service and have bought new hand grip and arm cup, etc. For the life of me I cant think how to get the foam grip onto the handle! It might have something to do with a hangover from Hell today.

Just undo the two main screws from the main body and the smaller one that holds the stand, then the body will just open up enough for you to remove the stand ;)

Post by: Dyson on July 07, 2012, 02:51:38 PM Hi Neil you can get a foam grip they use on fishing rods which is quite big to start with which you slide over the handle then you warm it up with a hairdrier and it shrinks to a perfect fit. Searcher (rod) done this to his and it looks perfect,drop him a pm and he will go through it with you ,hope this helps ;)
