Title: a day with chef Post by: Mike on September 16, 2012, 03:07:44 PM spent the day with chef on one of his farms , the morning session was a bit slow with nothing of much interest showing up bar a scrap bit of silver and the usual bits and bobs .
around 12 and back at the cars bear grylls (geoff) produced a strange water kettle thingy , set fire to it and made a first class mug of coffee in 5 minutes , great bit of kit . onto another field which started to produce a few bits of buckle buttons muskets etc , geoff fended off a small boy with a nasty looking machine gun sized water pistol asking the usual 'have you found anything mister' and scrumping a few apples down the field why went and out popped a nice little hammie for me yeeehaaa , my 1st whole henry , any further id most welcome . back to a field ajoining the 1st for the last hour after more coffee from the wonder kettle , geoff managed a silver love token and a grot , the only roman of the day , we had more bits and bobs there but nothing exiting apart from a possible strap end fragment/part. all in all a good day with a few finds of interest , many thanks to geoff for the coffee and having me over .
