Title: Bit of Bronze Age!! Post by: celticspikey on December 04, 2012, 08:25:38 PM Had a few hours out today, not a lot to show but did manage to get a Roman minim and a radiate coin, also what I initially thought was my first complete bronze axe head lying on the surface only to find it had been broken :'( I have found pieces of bronze age including parts of axe heads from this field but still awaiting a complete one, perhaps if and when this field is ever ploughed again it will bring one to the surface it’s been a good field producing bits of Celtic and early roman but since it was last ploughed 5 years ago finds have really diminished so I live in hope of changing farming practices ;D
