Title: Cold comfort beach Post by: Christoph1945 on January 20, 2013, 10:59:54 PM Motored down to Flint this morning and Joined Richie in Mc Donalds at 0700 for a hot drink and a chat. We spent a pleasant hour chatting and mulling over some earlier finds that we had with us. We then scooted down to Talacre and commenced detecting on the beach. With an air temperature of -1 and a wind speed of 10mls/hr, it was rather cold. By lunch time, the snow was starting set in and fingers were getting rather frigid so called it a day and drove back up to Flint and chatted over an other hot drink.
Finds were a little thin on the ground and all we found were the usual bullets, schrapnel, and a couple of modern decimal coins. All in all, it was a pleasant morning in good company, but bloomin cold! Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!
