Title: Hello all from Hereford
Post by: gunship_AL on January 24, 2013, 07:42:32 PM
Hi all,

Just joined the site and am very impressed, looking to get into the hobby as soon as all the white stuff has melted away. I'm also looking for a second hand Garrett 250 if anyone has one forsale let me know. I did buy my son a cheap machine but soon realized its limitations.  A thankyou also to Nick who let me know about the site.
Looking forward to meeting some new buddies soon hopefully.

Cheers Allan.

Hi and welcome!

There's also one for sale on "Eb*y", ending in 10 hours and the price is currently £106. May be worth watching - here's the link:

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone,  the snows melting so it looks like the time to commit to a purchase.

Anybody near Hereford that fancys a few hours out, give me a shout. I also have an extremely large garden if anyone's up for showing me the ropes.
Allan

You mean you haven't explored your garden yet. :o   OMG  let us at it, now we know where to have the next rally. ;D

Seriously, in an area like Hereford you just never know what might turn up or where. You must get out there and sweep the whole garden. Apart from that it's the best place to learn. Bury a few different things (rings in plastic bags with string attached) coins, etc. to get an idea of what signals they give at different depths and angles.

Best of luck

Val
