Some of this weeks finds. Any ideas on the dagger or letter opener? the lead with the
tear drop shaped hole one side, and triangular on the other.

The dagger looks like it could be a kilt pin. Found a silver one myself a while back. Does it have marks on the back where a pin and catch might have been?

No the back is just plain, I forgot to say it 's about  6 1/2 inches long and is  bronze/ brass.
The front has circles down the blade, If only it were silver , you must have been well pleased.

The bottom one if it is lead or lead substitue is a fishing weight

nice finds I think maybe
(1) the dagger is A Indian brass ornamental letter opener
(2) bottle cap opener
(5) if hollow could be A bell of A cats collar or if solid as Drivertess says A lead or substitute drilled bullet weight for fishing

the 3rd picture down is most certainly an 18th century georgian key

Yea, picture three is definitely the key to a Georgian Chastity Belt  :P

thanks guys for the i d's Had the key identified as a slip lock key 14 century
which would tie in with the land I found it on. The bottom picture is a musket ball,
The dagger seems to have a bit of age to it so I'm still not sure, and the lead still
puzzles me. I personally like the head figure I'ts cast metal although it does have a
hole in the back of it.

Alan is spot on with the key, it's an 18th night latch key.
Has your "musket ball" got a hole going all the way through? if so then it's a net weight and dependant on the location of the site would have been used for either birds or fish.
The sword is a scimitar and as you say probably a letter opener and probably no older than Victorian.
Difficult to call on the large lead item but my thoughts without seeing it in the flesh would be a trough plug. :-\

ooops I agolopise fropusely  Geoff, the round thing is not a musket ball it's as
everyone has said a net weight. The key I,m still not sure about as I have seen
an article on one of the antiquity sites with a near exact picture of another
one found and it states it's from the period 1120 - 1340.

Here you go, definitely only 18th century :-\
