What size is it Nap?

And any chance of pictures with a bit of shadow to show the detail - these ones are very 'flat'.

I think it may be a foreigner, but still working on it.

looking at it ,it does look a little  rough, like a forgery or token ,, i know it may sound daft but are you sure its silver ???

Give it a little rub with some foil and spit, if you can smell eggs it's silver, don,t go mad with the foil though as you can scrub detail of it if you get a bit heavy handed. I know, because I've done it myself  ::)

I haven't found it yet, but was thinking along the lines of a spanish-type billon denier

Nordine, theres something going on with the surface and the colours are a bit strange. Is it even silver? And I noticed in your other post about just getting back from detecting in France, so just to make sure we're reading off the same page should we be looking with associations with Neath or Arles/Burgundy?

I knew I'd get it. It's been bugging me all day! Here's the coin:-

SPAIN - CASTILLE & LEON - ENRIQUE II (1369 - 1379)

Type of currency: CRUZADO
Mint: WITHOUT MINT YEAR:1374-1376 Measurement: 20 mm.
obverse: ENRICVS REX LEGIONIS around I circulate that it contains a bust crowned of the king to left
reverso: ENRICVS REX CASTELLE around I circulate that it contains a cross with and N R I in each quarter

i've added a picture orientated the correct way.
