I realised years ago that politicians are only out to line their own pockets & havn`t voted for over 20yrs. This last Fiasco,thanks to the daily-telagraph,just confirms it & brought it to the Publics attension. They justify spending all the Tax-payers money on stupid unneccasary items by stating & i quote: "this allowance is classed as part of our salary & therefore our entitlement" Well if this is this case why wasn`t it taxed as such?? They expected to get a law passed that these claims would be exempt from the freedom of information act. I worked for my local council and one of the councillors became an M.P. He is on that list. He was only ever interested in his expenses even when he was a councillor.
If, God forbid I lost my job and wanted to claim money from the state I would have to fill in endless forms detailing my whole financial history. These people are beneath contempt.
