Title: todays finds at old cottage Post by: chantalpoole on May 22, 2014, 07:35:00 PM had 3 hours and got soaked through but managed to find a few bits n bobs .one george iii halfpenny , 2 x george v halfpennys , a 1880 centenery of sunday schools medal,2 lead buttons,part of a spoon and some weird tool with solid brass block and would have has a wooden handle maybe a masons chipping tool ? any info on the tool would be great .

Heat the copper end in a fire, bit of flux on job to be soldered and melt the solder on to item
