Our family of 4 (2 adults, 2 pre-teens) will be in Cardiff and we REALLY want to find someone to go metal detecting with. Any time on July 1 or 2. We have a rental car, can give a free ride. We have own metal detector. Would love to just take a chance - its not about what we find, but just the fun of MD. We have been doing research about where we could MD - but are very open to suggestions. Initially we considered staying somewhere near the coast line (1 hr east or 1 hr west). We are looking for someone to join us and spend half a day or so together. What do you think? Wales is famous for its ''welcome in the hillside'' i am sure they will be happy to help you and im sure there is some retired kind soul who will take you under his wing for a bit of detecting .I know down west wales everyone was lovely to me when i first started and i met lots of great people.
