Field was ploughed yesterday. Photograph number 2, top left, people of a certain age will remembers these door catches? Not really any idea of what they are, I have found quite a few over the years and most have had a piece of wire attached to the one of the holes. The only thing I can think of is part of a stop cock for the cattle water troughs out in the fields although it looks to be quite elaborate. ....unless anybody can throw up any ideas?
