Title: Posy Ring
Post by: celticspikey on July 31, 2015, 03:47:07 PM
Hi Guys, been waiting a long long time for one of these little beauties, not the biggest as they go, but special as it came from a field I have not done much of late. 1.7 grms, inscription reads "To Treasure To True Friends". I hope its not the last I see of it when the FLO gets hold of it but if it is I enjoyed finding it.

I could cope with that Geoff, especially if the rings get bigger and heavier each year.  ::) ;)

I must be discriminating them out Roland, don't find many, any way you shouldn't be detecting on golf courses mate ;)

Talking of Golf Balls Paul  (I know you weren't  ::) )  I was mystified for ages as to why I kept finding them in my field. Finally discovered how and why.   One of our neighbours practices in his field and seems to loose quite a few, Rooks pick them up and fly off with them, land in my field to 'eat' them and get fed with them when they can't crack the 'shells'.

Bingo, mystery solved.  Anyone want any free Golf balls, got a bag full in the shed.
