Title: Finds from Wick / Treasure goes home
Post by: welshjohn on September 16, 2015, 01:21:28 PM
My finds from the Wick rally last Sunday.  Nothing much; a Victorian half penny and several buckles.  I delivered a Treasure item back to the Farmer; the Tudor Hair Pin pictured below.  This was originally found on their farm back in July 2012, the first time DW visited there.  It has been through the Treasure process and was disclaimed.  The Farmer always expressed a desire for it to go to the North Somerset Museum in Taunton, so we both agreed to waver any financial gain and donate the pin.  Here is a picture of me delivering it back to Mrs. Jones last Sunday who is donating it to the Museum.
