Title: Bracelet Buzzin' ;) Post by: flipper on June 26, 2009, 12:11:52 AM Hi Guys...I Found this beautiful bracelet today on a new field... my heart nearly stopped. :o the only marking i can see is the (800) thats in the pic... the bracelet has been turned inside out to show these markings... the other side is a little less detailed (quite plain/flat)
Its near enough as shiny in the photograph as when it came out of pasture @ 5"... the fields hadnt been ploughed for over 35 yrs and were potatoes before that...but i am still unsure of its age ??? i also found a brooch and something else i cant identify ???.... if anybody would know of any links or info on clasps-fastenings and perhaps how to date them...that would be cool.... Many European countries mark silver and gold with numerical fineness marks in thousandths, e.g., 800, 830, 900, 935, etc. for silver, 333, 500, 585, 750, 875, etc. for gold.
