Post by: TheLoveDoc on November 06, 2009, 01:00:05 PM Hi again all, payed a little visit to my second farmer today and got permission to detect along the old public footpath through his field. Had a good morning too after finding a load of old coins a buckle and a button. This though was the final find of the day and its the best too. Any info about it would be very helpfull to me..... oh yeah !! I found it not too far from where I had that miners check.

At the base was a scroll bearing the words Labor omnia vincit (Work conquers everything).

Building up my confidence now and aproaching farmers and so far its 2 outta 2 gave permission mate so its all good. Plenty of farms still to visit too so with a bit of luck I will get a few more :)
