Title: lead seal

a lead seal found local a few years back, have never found one this size before, or seen another untill shown a part of one by  "zorro"  kev  last night .any ideas of what it might have come from??  its just under 2 inches in lenght,  thanks mickycoin  mick

hi viv, no i forgot i had it till kev showed me the one he had,   mark can take it with him on his next visit in  june if he wants too  mickycoin mick ;D ;D

Looks like a large bag seal. It appears to read PETERSON WAKEFIELD.

The majority we find are from bags of seed.

wow that is a large one.  the govenment used to check  the bags of seed ,manure , cloth ect, for size,  weight, quality ect,  when done  used to fix these on to show its been checked and i think one halfpenny tax charged for it,
