Title: Popped to the Vale yesterday for 2 hours . . .
Post by: Neil on June 12, 2010, 06:06:06 PM
Went to a farm I have in the Vale for two hours yesterday before I headed off to the Welsh Beer Festival - man I am paying for it today :P - we were there until it closed - then a few other bars - then up back at my place until 5.3Oam watching the sun come up - I can't do it anymore.

Anyway I had a few finds yesterday including musket balls, broken shoe buckle (shame as it would have been a beauty - isn't that always the way?}, a couple of Georgian coppers, buttons and then one of my last signals of the day was this silver plated ball button. Bearing the emblom of the Welsh feathers with Ich Dien (I Serve} below. It has also had CVC inscribed unerneath. I am guessing at Cowbridge Volunteer Corp as I was in view of Cowbridge, but no idea really. Any ideas on the age anyone?

Cheers
Neil
