Title: today's ring find Tuesday 17th march)
Post by: Al.Thepastfinder, ( Alan ) on March 17, 2009, 07:42:01 PM
After spending all morning working in the house and out the garden i thought i'd get out with the detector this afternoon.
The field i wanted to go on was  very roughly ploughed, after an hour of trying to keep my balance and making my legs ache again i headed off to the beach late afternoon,
i managed to winkle out this nice little ring .thing
no hallmarks, And silver plated. a row of sparkling white stones all across the top though,
by the looks of the wear at the bottom the woman must have been wearing it for quite a few years befor losing it,
Alan

Thanks boys,  i usually get a few a year from occasional visits,
2 years ago i was on one from 5 P.m. till gone 10 pm at the end of july,
i had around  £24 in cash and 5  childrens rings,  4 gold and 1 silver, from the dry sand,
i had to stop then as it got too dark and i couldn't see what i was digging out,, i didn't take the light thats fits on the forehead as i didn't think i'd be out that late,
or i could have stopped longer as i was still finding,

 Alan
