Title: Cardiff Coin fair tomorrow . . .
Post by: Neil on December 10, 2010, 05:07:14 PM
Its the Cardiff Coin Fair tomorrow guys at the City Hall.

The last one was a cracker and there were quite a few detecting artefacts on sale.

I'm meeting Jaydogg there for a bit of a browse around the stands and then a few afternoon ales!

Anyone else going?

Neil

Didnt know about it but will be in cardiff at the new leggo shop so might squeeze in some browsing.

Do they buy coins too? Got some silver crowns that my wife wants me to sell instead of melting them down.

Also have some silver roman coins that are probably worth dobbing in.

It was a suprisingly quiet Cardiff Coin Fair - but Jaydogg and I still enjoyed ourselves. As I said last time there are some real shock prices on some of the coins we find every day. I do suppose that condition and key dates are king. The most expensive coin we saw was a huge gold hammered coin which was available for £10K! :o

My only purchase was a Austrian 1915 ducat in superb condition.

We then retired to the pub for a few ales and grub.

Next one is early February 2011
