I live S/W Wales near Tenby. Loads of history around here but finding anything is another story. I've found some flints (poss.Mesolithic) and next oldest is half a pewter spoon (poss.1600's) and a Buckle (poss.late 1600's) Seems like most of the finds come from East of Swansea were there was a higher population and occupation from Roman times. I'm from Swansea. Best find to date has been a Bronze Age spearhead - purchased by Cardiff Museum. Have a Roman silver Panther head awaiting valuation by the British Museum. You'll find this a great obsessive hobby and you've found the best site to supply you with all the information you need. yep there's plenty of room, the next meet is on 1st march at the RAOB club,madoc st, llandudno, LL30 2TW. Still in its infancy though and no real structure but we need more people to make the effort; any takers for rally/dig organizer or club secretary?
