I thought you good people might want to see why i call myself  "Waltonbasinman" .  This picture shows a couple of the Roman marching camps near the Roman Fort that overlies Iron Age enclosures that overlies ploughed out Bronze Age Barrows and enclosures that overlies a Neolithic Henge and enclosures that overlies some Mesolithic Pits. You would think i would be in detecting heaven as it lies less than a mile down the road. Trouble is all the Archies are doing some projects in the area and i have been told to stay away until they have gone. Trouble is the project ends 2013. Oh Well.  Undecided Undecided

Well folks it is one of the areas that i thought would be a good site for a detecting Wales rally but after speaking to the farmer who was all for it i had the brakes put on by the archies. I won,t go into detail but if we are a going concern in a couple of years we can definately have a rally there. I have obtained another site for later on in the year. Will speak to Neil and Geoff about this, this week and they can let you know when all is in place. Grin Grin
