SCRAPPY'S FIRST DENARIUS

Went out today and outdone once again by my son Sean.
He found a cracking Denarius
I am no expert at identifying coins but I think I have worked this one out.
So if I am wrong please correct me I am only learning

So my ID is as follows

11th Emperor of the Roman Empire --- DOMITIAN (Titus Flavius Caesar Domitianus Augustus)
Born 24th october 51 AD
Died September 96 AD
He was Emperor for 15 years from 81-96 AD
He was the 3rd and last Flavian Dynasty
He Had one son who died young between the years 71-81 AD
Wife's Name Domitia Longina
Coin
69-79 AD ,as Caesar,Rome.Obv CAESAR AVG F DOMITIANVS legend with laureate bust right
Rev. COS V legend over wolf and twins with boat below

Well Done Sean lovely coin mate I am well jealous

. that boy will always suprise me lol , one minute is in the field playing with the horses a minute later few swing with the explorer xs and come running ohhh i got a Denarius well that is it i am going to do the same next time.Bravo Scrappy and wish you more next time . Nordine.

Great looking denarius...Romus and Remus being fed by a she wolf...legend has it they were the founders of Rome.

top find Scrappy as my fav coins are roman denarius if i could find one like that in 2012 i would be over the moon ,Wayno mate he's doing the biz for sure. Wink
