Edward III I believe.

Any chance of pics with a bit more contrast/shadow? These are very 'flat' making the lettering hard to make out.

Those pics help to pin it down - It's a Durham mint penny of Edward III, I think Spink 1592 with the reverse reading CIVITAS DVNELMIE.
