Only a short time away till we see the Basking Sharks in Manx Waters again . Last year I made dozens of sightings  of
Peel where I live. There is  regular boat trips going out to see these fantastic creatures. Smiley Smiley

Hi Rob
when i was a lad my dad chartered a fishing boat so me and my brother could go fishing for mackerel off Padstow
With in minutes of leaving the habour we was surrounded by about a dozen of these Huge sharks only the whale Shark is bigger
I spent the fishing trip shaking like a leaf  Embarrassed

It was only when we was on dry land that my brothers told me Baskin Sharks are Generally harmless filter feeders lol

Really beautiful creatures, but also  amazing how such giants as the basking and whale shark can survive on such a small creature like plankton?.........
