Hi folks just thought i would post my small amount of finds today theres an old buckle an odd spoon that looks like a toothpick at the end. a george111 penny a 1936 george penny and the other coin i cant identify and some bits

Hi Stever, nice selection you found. Well done on making the effort in this weather.
The buckle looks to be poss. late Georgean and the bit at the top looks like the tongue out of another one. Do you think the coin you can't I.D is a badly degraded 20p.
The spoon looks most interesting. Have you done a silver test on it ? are there any marks on it ?

the buckle tang at the top of the pick probably dates from mid 17th to mid 18th century

whats the silver test people? and yes i did you the sef coil octavian my ace 250 was going a bit crazy with it on but it seems to be ok now

take a bit of new silver foil, spit on it and then wrap the spoon in the spit covered foil , rub gently and if its silver a bad egg smell will result  Wink Wink  then its silver
