Hi found deep down in garden, it is very bent - any ideas. It is not perfect but very well made looks bronze ?? very smooth feel a very lovely item someone clearly devoted a lot of time and care to creating it. What is it. the garden has not been dug really dug for what - 50 - 60 years at least. any ideas please on how to straighten it. is it meant to be straightened, was it meant to have a bend in it ??
All the best Nigel. Swansea, Wales

Hi Val, how are you, just come in from the garden. need to bear in mind the garden is more like a field, very untouched none of us are gardener's here. love detecting in the dark it seems to concentrate the mind and really focus you in on those tones going to have to venture further afield one of these days though leave all my cares behind and walk off into the sunset with my metal detector who said romance was dead .. nige

Hi Nigel,
It's a great shame, but I think your spoon is quite modern, but well found anyway  Cool

probably right Jeff I think my mother is playing tricks with me. I notice she's nicking my iron too whenever I put an assortment of 'things' next to the sink after washing them they have a strange habit of disappearing maybe she knows something I don't yes quite possibly the spoon is fairly certainly contemporary just wonder why someone would bury it in the garden. I found a Captain Scarlet Medal deep down in the garden weird suppose time does that to things ..

Hey Nige,
That Captain Scarlet medal sounds interesting. Put it on Ebay you may have a surprise.
