A couple of my favourites are butterscotch chews & those sweet monkey nuts, most of the sweets mentioned you can still get, there`s a little sweet stall in newport market that sells all the old sweets from years ago, including sherbet pip`s,army & navy, old sherbet by the quarter to name but a few,so if your local, get youselves to the sweet stall for a trip down memory lane,& as for jubblies you can still get them in all flavours, most supermarkets sell`s them. Plastic walking sticks full of smarties ( not originals), creme eggs dont taste the same now I'm older I used to like those eggs they fetched out at easter same size as a creme egg called nutcrackers? or something like that they were in two halves with caramel and a nut in each side.

I was also going to say that you can still get most of the above mentioned if you look in the right places. Manchester when I was there a few weeks back never seems to have lost the old favourites.

For those not up that way you can get sealed bags of Pontefract cakes (Haribo who took over a British producer) from Wilkinsons or Morrisons. Their a bit cheaper at Morrisons.

If anyone gets near Tenby there's two old type sweet shops. They both sell sweet peanuts, fruit salads, blackjacks etc etc. One is far cheaper than the other though...the expensive one is above the end of North Beach.

For pear drops Lidl have been doing tins of sweets for 50p in the last few weeks. The "Ice Drops" turned out to be pear drops but not the old original shape.
