MAD COWS EAT METAL DETECTORISTS !!!🐂🐂🐂🐂🐂🐂

« on: August 02, 2015, 08:36:46 PM »

For a little reward!!
My old buddy and I went on to a new permission on Friday, as usual, full of great enthusiasm and anticipation.
The fields had not only been cut of corn but re-planted  with some sort of brasicus, but the landowner assured us that we could do little harm,so off we went,me in one direction, Andy in another,we had previously agreed that we would meet back up at one'o 'clock, for lunch, well lunch time came and we met back up,both with longish faces, both of us had drawn a blank apart from the normal "sprite" cans and cattle eye ointment tubes!!
We didn't  speak much during lunch, but decided to go into the next field,so off we went.
When we met up at the end of the search we compared finds,Andy had found Four coins and a  piece of lead that was the size of a slightly larger than usual musket ball, and into it was carved the head of a mained lion, absolutely beautiful, he has notified the FLO.
I will endeavour to borrow it and show it on the forum!
And as for my finds, well, take a look for yourselves!!!!

More than I found in 2 new fields last week.  All I had was 2 digable sigals.  Nice Viccy Half Penny with good detail and lovely green patina and half of a book clasp.

Good job I didn't walk there, it was in Carmarthen. Roll Eyes
