Managed a little hour on my permission within the first 15 minutes this little one popped out. I believe it to be a coin by the dotted lines on the face but not 100% if anyone has any info let me know. The imagie is in cm but its 0.591 inches

 - the central looking circular bit on the reverse (lower two images) makes me think it is a button - I frequently get my hopes up on these things - especially the nice pewter looking ones, but the remains / area where the loop of a button was attached usually disappoints (at least me!).

It doesn't seem right for a button. If the attachment were in the centre circle it would mean the side that showed when sewn on would have no pattern !
I have seen (but can't find) a pocket Sun Dial. It was like a coin but had the signs of the Univers, the months of the year and days in circles around it.
Any chance of cleaning it up a bit so you can pick out the pattern.
