Went out yesterday on a friends field that had been ploughed and worked down nicely, Yeh I know ploughed this time of year  Shocked Roll Eyes this field is next to a site that has produced some early medieval coins and artefacts including a bit of saxon, it's not in a classic location for a small dwelling, but the romans were there and it clearly continued to be used in the medieval period.
Anyway this was the day's finds as well as the hammered in the coin ID section. The best find for me was the early medieval Bridal mount and looks Saxon, anyone agree?? Not sure what the big lead lid was off, but it wasn't a whisper of a signal at only 3 inches.. Grin
