Got this last week, for those that don't know it's about a monk in 12th century Shrewsbury (Derek Jacobi) and he investigates death and murders. I am sure there are authentic items but it's great fun to watch about how life may have been during one of the civil war (anarchy) periods in england and wales and the struggle between King Stephen and Maud.
If you are interested and get the chance you can pick the whole set up brand new for £11 on the net.

I`ve never actually seen any of the series,by what you have explained about it it seems quite an interesting series,i will have to look out for it. Grin
