Officially there was no Roman occupation of Isle of Man and small number coins 20, brooches 8/10, and
small amount of pottery are all put down to trading, I dont believe that one minute as Irish pirates were harrYing
the ROMANS.and Irish could have hidden there boats of west coast of the island. One site in particular is probably a
a 1st/2nd century signal station and one of chain that went around northern plain. Coastal erosion has probably taken them away.This is a ariel picture of the site and plan of scottish signal station.
