Out back up to Hereford today with cooooooogle. Waltonbasinman's fields were flooded so he had to give it a miss, missed you up there Paul.

We started off on new fields near the river but these turned out to be poor so we decided to head back up to the field that offered up the ring and other goodies last time.. We started hitting signals immediately, I worked my way back up to where the Ring was found as I wanted to GPS log the spot for Mark Lodwick. I knew the spot was near a cow pat which had a signal under it. I found a cow pat with a signal under it but there was no sign of my dig, I soon realised that it was a different cow pat  Cheesy   (Next detector I get is going to be a cows bum) ---- another 10 yards further I found the original cowpat and  logged the gps co ordinates ....Job done , and back to the cow pats. On checking the cow pat nearest the Ring  hole it produced a door knob  Angry , so I worked my way back up to the rogue cow pat and to my sheer T shirt lifting delight , up popped the hammered..My very first on pasture, down around 7 inches I was chuffed to say the least.  Had a smattering of other coins including a couple of farthings, a nice George ii Penny or half penny and the Silver George   perdictably on the way back to the car.

I'll let Phil tell you what he had......they dont call him the vac for nothing  Roll Eyes
