Patience is a virtue
possess it if you can
It helps you dig out axe heads
with a delicate earthly plan.

Well Done.

LOL, I just love watching metal detectorists digging deep targets as logic and intelligence goes straight out of the window, they never seem to grasp that the deeper they go, then the larger the target is bound to be and instead of stepping back and widening the excavation they decide to "tunnel" at the bottom of the hole to widen it. It was a great find though.

It's the first time I have seen this video, was really good to watch! I must admit, Geoff is right, I have to say I am guilty of having dug in the way he describes, I reckon most of us have done that. I was a little confused at the end though as there is another smaller axe held against the one just dug, were they together, did I miss  something in the video?

The one in the video is the second one coming out. When Steven had dug the first Axe out and realised there was another signal underneath, it was decided to film the dig. There are a few videos all at different times. I will put the others up if you like albeit they dont show any axes coming out.... Just me digging like a Spaniel
