Just saw the advert for this company in the searcher

http://www.huntersevents.com/

Could be a expensive day out at £45 per day for a 5*

Nice finds, hot & cold drinks, lunch, toilets, car parking etc............sounds good.

Tickets to watch my beloved team Cardiff can be £33 for 90 mins of frustration and torment.

£50 or whatever for a day out is cheap!

Depends on how you look at it. I've paid £17 to go on a advertised rally in Wiltshire when the RARE club went up on a coach which was cr*p.  The fields were thick grass and it'd been detected on before. Hardly any finds came up and there were several hundred detectorists. I'd have paid double to have decent fields and detect in a smaller group!

I've got plenty of land but always look forward to a change of scenery.

Until you try it or had feedback, perhaps an open mind is best.

Looks like I'm in a minority again............... Cry

Oh this feels weird......I have to agree with Bob Shocked

The hobby is a lottery in what we find but £45 is not bad for a Whole days entertainment in this day and age.

You need to factor in your own travel costs too. Me and Jay came down to Hereford last Sunday and it cost use £35 in fuel  Sad on the day. Makes it expensive for us very poor gogs in North Wales. I probably won't be able to afford another one for a good long while.
