I spent an hour yesterday scanning the beach with no finds,i came across a 50p on the surface ran the coil over it and nothing ,not a murmur. Sad

Just done a bench test ,every mode works bar dry beach ,it registers nothing, anyone any idea why?

run the minelab (explorer mine is) drop iron mask down to -13/12, auto sensitivity ,  threshold 6 should quieten things down a lot

If you drop your threshold to 6 you need certifying  Cheesy That will drop it below audible (with headphones) which means you won't know how much iron is there and thus how slow you have to go. If you ever want to quieten an Explorer down, drop your audio gain.

Easily solved.................Get another machine Grin If you run silent then you WILL miss some vital information, one of which is the nulling, immediately before and after some wrap around iron signals and without that clue all you will hear is the good signal in the middle. So your iron collection will go up and your non-ferrous collection will go down Wink
