I picked this up yesterday on a field that has produced Bronze Age to Roman, Is it wishful thinking or not.  Undecided Undecided Undecided As i search flinty fields I'm always seeing odd pieces of flint but this one does stand out some what and having never handled these type of items I'm undecided so let's settle it, is it man made or natural Wink

Hi celtic
I know from experience some of these things are difficult to get a convincing pici of. But from what I can see I'm not sure it is flint.
It seems to have a collar but it doesn't look as if it's been chipped or flaked. It looks more 'cast' like cement.
It's certainly an interesting thingy. Be interesting to see what some of the others make of it.

Thanks for your comment val it is difficult to see from picture but I'm 100% sure it is flint, however I see what you mean as to having what looks like a collar, the more I look the more I think its natural now, still gives us all something to do eh Wink Wink
