just found this with what i think is old welsh writing on the back but could be very wrong. also a small buckle i think.

There no "only" about it, it's a nice find. I've found hundreds of hammered coins and even more Roman but I haven't got one of those. Look at it as a glass half full not empty Wink

on a plus note too i have found a fair few pennys within the same date period too so i know it must have been used quite a bit during that time.

The lead alloy version you have found were given to the children attending Sunday School, either to commemorate the centenary or as a prize for good attendance and a few tiers were probably shed when it was lost, they may never even of got it home to show proudly to their parents Cry
Keep going and you'll find the goodies eventually Wink
