Hello All,

Ive been messing about with an old army metal detector but want to get something decent.

Would be great to meet up with others in the area to get an idea of what I should be looking at and get shown the ropes.  How to use a discriminator properly etc.

Generally I do a fair bit of walking in the area over historical sites with an interest in www era stuff.

As in the title, I'm based in Skewen, South Wales.

Cheers,
Steve.

I've seen a few comments relating to Rallies, what exactly is A metal detector rally?

I've been to many car, bike and aviation rallys.  I'm imagining treasure hunts and comps.

Hi Alun, thats a kind offer, thank you.  I've got an old army mine detector, I've just found a matching one on ebay.  I'll post it up in the appropriate section and you guys can have a gander Smiley

11p for penny for the guy DryLand!  I'd love to see the kids faces as I drop 11p worth of rusty coins into their hands LOL
