Well after almost 8 weeks recovering from my operation, it was time to see if I was up to the fields...I still have a wound being dressed twice a week but felt strong enough to try a few hours. My first visit was only an hour or so and nothing to show for it, but yesterday I managed longer, first field and first signal was the bronze age arrow blade, from some seeded ground unfortunately that was it so I moved to a farm next door, I spent an hour or so here and had a couple of grots, I noticed my Deus clock said 3.15pm and as I had a Dr appt at 4pm I packed up and started to head home. I had only travelled a mile or so and noticed my clock in the car said 2.15pm? turns out I had not turned the clock back on the Deus Lol, by this time I was passing my medieval field and with the weather so nice I decided to pop the small coil on and have 50 minutes just inside the gate working methodically, which was worth it as you can see. I would appreciate an ID on the early Medieval/Saxon damaged coin.....As I expected I paid a bit in the form of achy muscles but only to be expected I guess. Wink Wink

Welcome back Paul. Weather was cold but kind and you found some exceptional finds, again.
Bronze Age arrow head, wow, lovely. Sticking my neck out again (what's left of it) and saying I think you coin part is Stephen.
Nice to see you posting finds again but don't over do it.
 Grin
By the way, how do you fix your watch to the Deus ?

Cheers Chris, as you know I'm normally out every day for a few hours except weekends, so the last 8 weeks has been very tough...lol. Just need the weather to stay dry, I don't mind the cold, and I'll put the time in the field..... Wink
